My Ideal Client

I have done some of my best work therapeutically with clients who have a hard time being kind to themselves. I've found that patterns of self-criticism or even self-harm often, though not always, originate in dynamics that were present at home growing up. Challenges from childhood, adolescence and young adulthood can continue to affect your daily life, including your functioning and relationships, and I'm here to help. I'm proud to work with members of the LGBTQ+ communities.

My Approach to Helping

I've worked hard to center my practice on well-researched techniques that have been shown to drastically decrease symptoms of PTSD and related diagnoses, whether a client's trauma comes from their family life, romantic relationships or degrading systems within our culture. As such, depending on the needs and mutually defined goals we create in session, I use EMDR, IFS, cognitive behavioral therapies and humanistic approaches in my sessions. In addition to working to heal trauma in particular, I can also help treat depression, anxiety and provide support for neurodivergence, such as autism and ADHD.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe we have a lot of work to do to create a more just and equitable society. The systems that have continued to perpetuate violence towards marginalized groups need to be dismantled in order for new and better systems to be created. And while I know that's easier said than done, I also believe that making a better world starts in our local communities, whether through collective advocacy via protests or by direct mutual aid work.
