My Ideal Client

I bring compassion and a strong commitment to patient-centered care to my work as a psychiatrist. I have extensive experience working with patients in both hospital and outpatient settings. I frequently diagnose and treat patients with a wide variety of mood and behavioral disorders including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, OCD, BPD, and schizophrenia. An additional area of focus for me is pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum mental health care.

My Approach to Helping

My approach is comprehensive, holistic, and focused on the biopsychosocial model. This means I strive to include all parts of a patient’s life when considering their diagnosis and treatment. I try to bring warmth, empathy, insight, and professionalism to every interaction. I see a diverse range of patients, including adults, teenagers, and adolescents age 8 and up. Because all of my appointments are offered via telehealth, I do not prescribe stimulants, benzodiazepines, or sedatives. I can accept the following Regence BCBS plans: Participating, Preferred, Individual and Family Network, RealValue. I am unable to accept the following Regence BCBS plans: Legacy, Blue High Performance Network, Medicare Advantage. I can also accept patients with PPO plans through other insurance if your insurance card includes a Multiplan or PHCS logo.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I completed undergraduate degrees in Biology from the University of West Georgia and Humanities from Brock University in Ontario, Canada. I earned my Doctor of Medicine from St. George’s University. I then completed my residency training at HCA Florida Largo Hospital, where I served as Chief Resident. I have a strong interest in academic medicine and global health. I have led and contributed to multiple research initiatives, and my work has been recognized at state conferences. I have actively volunteered to bring mental health care to those struggling to access it, including providing care to Ukrainian refugees. I am a member of both the American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
