My Ideal Client

Are you struggling to find a path to the life you want? Do you feel disconnected from important relationships in your life or even yourself? Do you find yourself feeling stuck after a loss or traumatic experience? Life hands us the unexpected, both painful and beautiful. The waters are murky, but you don’t have to wade through them alone. If you are in need of a compassionate, safe space to explore yourself, your story, and a way forward, reach out now.

How I Can Help You

My primary goal is to be an empathetic witness to your story, providing space in which you feel safe, heard, and seen. I work from an Existential-Humanistic (EH) perspective, meaning I view counseling as a practice of presence. It’s hard to feel human in a world of constant demands, distractions, and doings. Through authentic connection and mindful awareness, we’lll slow down and just be. Often, this change of pace and focus is transformative, creating clarity about how you have been living and how you would like to live. Ultimately, I seek to help you know yourself better and embrace your power and responsibility to create the life you want. I have experience helping clients through trauma, grief, relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. Together, we’ll explore your unique story, identify your goals, and build on your existing strengths to move toward a more meaningful and fulfilling life. I have specific training in EH therapy and am always building skills.

My Values as a Therapist

As a human and therapist, I value authenticity, complexity, hope, and justice. Authenticity means that I show up as myself, human like you (but just with some extra training and experience in this field). Complexity means I acknowledge that life as a human is full of contradictions—we have many identities, we feel many emotions at once, etc. Clarity and truth do not require simplicity. Hope means that I firmly believe in each person’s potential to grow and be well. Justice means that I hold high regard for your lived experience and consider the effects of culture and social systems (racism, sexism, ableism, etc.) on your concerns.
