My Ideal Client

Maybe you seek guidance digging into deeper emotions and healing forward. Maybe you've not had a safe space to be yourself. Maybe you long for self-care amid life transitions. My clients grow more attuned to themselves and to their stories, and they experience freedom from thinking patterns and wounded beliefs. I have helped individuals ages 14 to 90, in community mental health, hospital settings, and in outpatient care.

My Approach to Helping

I work in compassion and non-judgment, fostering safety in the therapy session. I operate from a trauma-informed, inclusive lens, and I customize approach to each client's needs. I pull from CBT, DBT, Somatic, Interpersonal, Psychodynamic, & Attachment theories. My therapeutic approach is warm & client-centered. I value feedback-informed care.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe we can carry with us wounds of our past. Those wounds can form maladaptive core beliefs, and we likely are connecting with ourselves and others from those wounded places.     You may have heard the phrase, "The body keeps the score," indicating our traumas can stay with us over time, if not worked through, if not offered a safe, sacred space for healing. Do you notice wounds from your past creating trouble in the present day? Maybe attachment or relational pains? Depression and anxiety? I would be honored to walk with you as you heal forward, maintain self-worth, and move toward secure attachment and increased quality of life.

    Using trauma-informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (proven to help in treatment of depression), we can heal self-defeating thoughts and maladaptive beliefs you may hold. We can discuss symptoms, neurobiology, options for effective coping. Maybe our work is to process and heal underlying causes of depression. I can help you cater to your self and promote self-love. We can also help you strengthen interpersonal connections and build your avenues of support.

    I define anxiety as unexpressed, trapped feelings. Anxiety can be a product of grief, anger, sadness, and even positive emotions, or eustress (positive stress such as a move, promotion, or relationship milestone). Let's get to the root of your anxiety. We'll find ways to work through anxiety. We can work together on effective coping skills for you to practice amid heightened anxiety. We will cater to your nervous system, learn about your anxiety responses, and work to nourish your body & mind.
