My Ideal Client

Are you a parent who feels like your child experiences the world a little differently and sometimes struggles as a result? Whether your child is living with anxiety, managing ADHD, or is on the autism spectrum, you're not alone. I'm here to help. As a trauma-informed, strengths-based play therapist, I specialize in supporting neurodivergent children and their families. My clients are bright, sensitive, and often overwhelmed by a world that doesn't always understand them.

My Approach to Helping

As a play therapist, I have the honor of working with children navigating challenges such as autism, anxiety, and ADHD. My approach is grounded in two core principles: being strengths-based and trauma-informed. Rather than focusing on what a child "can’t" do, I look for what they can already do well. Every child has unique strengths, and these become the foundation for our work together. Whether it's a child's creativity, curiosity, or sense of humor, we use these qualities to build confidence, develop coping skills, and foster emotional growth. Being trauma-informed means I recognize how past experiences can shape behavior. I meet each child with empathy, patience, and a deep respect for their individuality. Through play we create a safe and supportive space where healing, learning, and connection can flourish. In every session, my goal is to help children feel seen, heard, and empowered to be themselves. When children feel safe and understood, they thrive.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am a trauma-informed, strengths-based play therapist with additional training in Child-Centered Play Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and Applied Behavior Analysis. I work primarily with neurodivergent children and those experiencing anxiety, using developmentally appropriate, relational approaches that honor each child’s unique way of being in the world. I believe in creating safe, affirming spaces where children can explore their thoughts, feelings, and identities without judgment. My practice is guided by respect for autonomy, compassion, and the deep belief that healing and growth emerge through authentic connection and play.
