My Ideal Client

Are you feeling like now is the time to make a change for the better? Have you been overwhelmed with worries, regrets or stress? Are you feeling stuck and unmotivated? Are you tempted to lose hope that things can be better? If you've been trying to escape with drinking or addictions and distractions that provide a temporary solution only to leave you feeling worse than ever, know that you can get your life back!

My Background and Approach

I am a licensed clinical social worker. I graduated form Smith College of Social Work in 2000. I have a wealth of experience helping people improve their mental health and well being. I started my private practice in 2022. I love using Telehealth as a way for clients to access treatment from the comfort and privacy of their own home. What better way to grow and heal? I specialize in Alcohol Use Disorder and addiction. I use a combination of evidence based practices proven to help people change their relationship with drinking and to cope with anxiety and improve mood and wellbeing. I treat the whole person, not just your symptoms and problems. We are mental, emotional, physical and spiritual beings and a journey of change necessarily involves all of it.

Why I am a Good Fit for You

I believe that you can change your live and regain control. It can be discouraging to have tried over and over again to get control of your drinking and find yourself continuing the same bad habits you promised you would stop. Have you nearly given up on your ability to keep promises to yourself? You know your drinking is a problem but you don't see yourself as an "Alcoholic". You don't fit into the stereotypes and you're not sure if you need to quit drinking entirely or if you can get a grip on this thing and still drink like a "normal" person at least occasionally. You sure can't see yourself at AA or anything like that. I have my own story with drinking and I have so much compassion for where you are. I didn't go to AA, but I did change my relationship with alcohol. I will support you weather you want to quit entirely or explore how you can moderate and be in control. I have skills and tools I can teach you. Sound good? I'd love to talk.
