My Ideal Client

I specialize in supporting clients with ADHD and “Audhd”, particularly those who have gone undiagnosed due to female/AFAB presentation, giftedness, and/or high masking behaviors. Perhaps you have been told that you can’t have ADHD because you are “too smart”, or you have been able to succeed by leveraging anxiety as motivation, leading to cycles of burnout. I have additional training in supporting trans/non-binary clients and am a passionate advocate for mothers, caregivers and family systems.

My Approach to Helping

I enjoy building relationships with my clients with genuine care, warmth, and a sense of humor. I help my clients to build confidence and executive function skills and heal from chronic shame by strengthening self-compassion and building on the strengths and resources that are already in place. I bring a holistic approach that is informed by my background as a theater artist, yoga teacher, and certified coach, as well as my clinical training and interests. I balance a direct, solution-focused approach with an exploratory, existential approach that values depth, meaning, narrative, and self-insight. I utilize interventions from ACT, Narrative therapy, IFS, CBT, Ecotherapy, and somatic approaches informed by my 25-year practice as a student and teacher of Yoga and Eastern Philosophy.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Working from a feminist and existential lens, I believe that cultural narratives and power dynamics influence our sense of self-worth and identity, and I am passionate about noticing where we have “internalized” these stories, so that we can work to reclaim our sense of worthiness and identify our own values as a guiding light. I resonate deeply with clients who feel systems-level anxiety and grief about the political and ecological challenges in our world, and I strive to help clients find agency and empowerment despite the sometimes overwhelming problems we face. I see my clients as whole, capable, and possessing a natural capacity for healing and wisdom. I enjoy supporting clients in identifying and cultivating their own unique gifts, their resilience to grow through adversity, and their capacity to achieve their most meaningful goals.
