My Ideal Client

Do you feel defined by every thought, or overwhelmed when difficult feelings arise? Many of us cope by shutting down or pretending we feel nothing at all, but disconnecting only works for so long. We aren't born with an instruction manual for our minds, and constantly pushing yourself to be different only deepens the pain. I work with adults who feel tangled up in internal stress and want to find genuine ease in who they already are.

My Approach to Helping

Healing begins when we stop treating our inner experience as an enemy to defeat. In our work together, we build a personalized, collaborative treatment plan using evidence-based modalities that honor where you are right now. Through Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (MBCBT), you will learn practical skills to cultivate present-moment awareness, untangling yourself from painful thought loops without having to suppress your feelings. Alongside MBCBT, I incorporate Internal Family Systems (IFS) for gentle somatic processing. IFS helps uncover the protective wisdom behind your automatic habits and defenses, transforming confusion and tension into grounded self-trust.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

My practice is deeply rooted in the Sanskrit principle of maitri—unconditional friendliness and loving-kindness toward one's own experience. Much of our suffering comes from the belief that we must stand apart from ourselves, judge our perceived flaws, or battle our emotions to be worthy of peace. Maitri invites a willingness to pause, witness what arises moment to moment, and let experience be as it is. In therapy, directing that warm, nonjudgmental awareness inward creates room to exhale. When you stop fighting your mind and begin relating to yourself with curiosity and friendliness, lasting healing and authentic confidence naturally follow.
