My Ideal Client

Do you have a recurring dream? Is there something about this phase of life that you can't quite identify with or understand? Are you struggling with power in relationships, personal or professional? Have really big emotions taken you over? Do you want to understand the "why" behind the "what" of you are becoming? Does it ever feel like there just isn't a you-shaped-space in the world? I work with people who want to understand how their relationship with the world impacts their quality of life.

My Approach to Helping

My practice is one of relational integration. I help my clients recover the integrity of their whole lived experience in the context of their present moment goals and concerns. I offer an honest, mindful, collaborative space to witness and work with oneself in pursuit of healing – finding some helpful ways to live in relationship with all parts of yourself. I am a graduate of Pacifica Graduate Institute where i learned a depth psychological approach to counseling. My work is a blend of psychodynamics and somatic therapy, which is client-centered, includes the unconscious, activates imagination, and incorporates a mind-body connection to treatment. I also have specific training in Hakomi, Lifespan Integration, Ecopsychology, Relational Life work, and Primary Attachment Theory.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • Hakomi External link

Hakomi therapy is a mindful, somatic psychotherapy approach. It emphasizes the use of mindfulness and gentle, body-centered techniques to access and transform unconscious beliefs and patterns that may be limiting a person’s well-being. It integrates Eastern philosophies with Western psychology, offering a unique path to self-discovery and healing.

  • Psychodynamic  External link

Psychodynamic therapy explores unconscious processes and how past experiences, particularly from childhood, influence present behaviors and relationships. It focuses on developing self-awareness, understanding emotional patterns, and improving relationships.

  • Attachment Theory External link

Primary Attachment Therapy (PAT) focuses on the impact of early attachment experiences on current relationships and well-being. It’s a therapy approach that builds on the principles of Hakomi, Interpersonal Neurobiology, and CIMBS, aiming to resolve early attachment wounds and foster secure, satisfying relationships. The therapy often takes place within the immediate relationship between the client and therapist, emphasizing moment-to-moment dynamics to elicit and address attachment states.
