My Ideal Client

My clients are motivated to find the source of old beliefs and behaviors that contribute to anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, unhealthy relationships, and challenges to communication. They are interested in not only healing old wounds, but building a healthy lifestyle that is realistic and sustainable. They want to create a balance that provides a healthy mind, body, and community. I’m body positive, sex and kink positive, and I affirm disabled, BIPOC, trans, and LGBTQIA+ folx.

My Approach to Helping

Counseling and coaching should never feel like a mystery to anyone. I take care to provide background information and straightforward explanations of the concepts, methods, and exercises I bring to session. I offer a safe, transparent, and judgement free space for clients to have a conversation about what keeps them stuck and then work together to get unstuck. I help to create systems to achieve health and wellness goals including food and nutrition, exercise/movement, structured daily routines, social life, and work-life balance. My counseling lens is from a Polyvagal Theory, Attachment, and Mindfulness background in conjunction with my training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), CBT, DBT, and ACT, which allows us to understand the connection between our past experiences, nervous system functioning, and mental health.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

We are all born as powerful little beings, some could even say experts in getting our needs met. As the trials and tribulations of life occur, we tend to lose sight of that innate strength. Yet if we rediscover that power within the context of adult life, I believe we can bring it back into view. Until we get a clear sense of our destination, it’s easy to stay lost. I experienced that feeling into young adulthood, as I struggled with depression, anxiety, and low self worth, not realizing I could feel differently. It was through the discovery of nature, movement, and counseling that I found my voice. I've since dedicated my life to adventure and helping others heal in order to embark on their own adventures. I participate in and with BLM, Indigenous Peoples, and Trans Rights events. I’m a yoga enthusiast, snack connoisseur, solo traveler, craft attempter, and avid backpacker, most recently hiking the PCT.
