My Ideal Client

I work very well with people who have struggled to find a good fit in therapy in the past or who are reaching out for help for the first time. I specialize in sexual health concerns, such as preorgasmia, performance anxiety, dating skills and/or sexual skills concerns, and sexual trauma. If you are interested in using EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to process your trauma, please let me know!

What I Specialize In

I specialize in the following areas: 1) Performance anxiety: difficulty maintaining or getting an erection, not having the physical response you would like during sex, difficulty orgasming or orgasming quicker than you would like, 2) Preorgasmia: maybe you’ve never had an orgasm or you have difficulty reaching orgasm, either solo or with a partner, 3) Dating skills and/or sexual skills concerns: maybe your’e new to partnered play or have recently received feedback that you are not meeting your partner’s needs, and 4) Communication style differences in relationships

Why I Became a Therapist

I became a therapist and sex coach because I want to change the world. I have been working in the mental health field since 2016, but have been passionate about sexual wellness since my undergraduate program where I facilitated Women’s and Gender Studies courses and wrote extensively on how to understand and navigate consent. Through these experiences, I realized that my true skills and strengths come from helping people through their sexual concerns. We live in a sex negative culture, which can make it difficult to feel safe being ourselves, and I want to change that! I also have an undergraduate degree in philosophy, which greatly influences how I show up in my practice.

Specialties

  • EMDR External link
  • Existential External link

I am an existential-humanistic counselor, which means I emphasize the relationship and the therapeutic container that we co-create. From this space as the foundation, I will ask curious and challenging questions to help you increase your understanding into yourself and to identify what matters most to you.
