My Ideal Client

My areas of specialty include preconception, pregnancy and postpartum psychiatric care, as well as care for people in the perimenopausal transition. Additionally, I offer affirming care for LGBTQI+ and neurodivergent individuals. I also enjoy caring for healthcare providers, parents and people going through life transitions, such as divorce.

My Background and Approach

I hold advanced training as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) from Frontier Nursing University. My clinical training includes private practice telehealth for adults, working with children in an outpatient psychiatric clinic, as well as caring for people with a wide range of complex mental health needs in a hospital setting. Before I expanded my practice into psychiatry, I spent many years as a Certified Nurse Midwife. It has been a privilege to support individuals in various areas of reproductive health, such as family planning, prenatal and postpartum care, gynecology, and menopause management. Additionally, I’ve presented on topics such as providing care for same-sex couples and transgender parents. From 2019 to 2022, I was recognized as one of Portland Monthly's Top Nurse Midwives. If you are looking for a partner in your mental health journey, I would be honored to walk that path with you.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Kinfolk Psychiatry is centered around the belief that everyone deserves care that’s compassionate, inclusive, and tailored to their unique experience. I offer psychiatric services, including medication management, to help you find the care and solutions that are right for your unique needs. As a small, primarily telehealth psychiatric practice in Oregon, my goal is to support you in navigating life’s transitions and mental health challenges. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, OCD, bipolar disorder, or other mental health concerns, I’m here to provide the support you need in a way that is tailored to your individual experience.
