My Ideal Client

My clients are often navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use concerns, relationship challenges, parenting stress, or major life transitions. Many come to therapy feeling stuck in patterns of self-criticism, overwhelm, shame, or disconnection and are looking for a place to better understand themselves and their experiences. I enjoy working with adolescents and adults who are ready to explore new ways of coping, strengthen relationships, and build resilience.

My Approach to Helping

My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, direct, and grounded in genuine curiosity. I believe people make sense of their lives within the context of their experiences, relationships, and environments, and that healing happens when we can explore those experiences without judgment. I strive to create a space where clients feel safe, respected, and understood while also being challenged to grow. My approach integrates evidence-based practices including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychoeducation, and Narrative Exposure Therapy. I help clients develop practical skills, better understand patterns that may no longer serve them, and build a stronger connection to their values, strengths, and goals. Whether we are processing trauma, navigating a major life transition, or addressing anxiety, depression, substance use, or relationship concerns, I view therapy as a collaborative process that supports meaningful and lasting change.

Why We Started this Group Practice

We created this practice because we wanted our collective practice to reflect the values that brought us into this work in the first place. As clinicians, we believe in the dignity and worth of every person, the importance of authentic human relationships, and the capacity for growth and healing. We wanted to build a community that values collaboration, creativity, integrity, and connection—not only in our work with clients, but also in how we support one another as colleagues. Our approach is trauma-informed, relationship-centered, and grounded in respect for each person's unique experiences and strengths.

Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • Child or Adolescent Issues External link

I enjoy supporting adolescents as they explore who they are, what they believe, and what matters most to them. Together, we identify emerging values and build skills to help align actions with those values in ways that honor their growing autonomy and sense of self. I work collaboratively with youth to navigate challenges, strengthen relationships, and build confidence. I often incorporate art and animal-assisted interventions to foster connection, engagement, and growth.

  • Women's Issues External link

I enjoy working with women navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, parenting, co-parenting, divorce, identity shifts, and questions about self-worth. As someone who is divorced and co-parenting, these experiences inform my work and deepen my understanding of the complexities many women face. I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space to process challenges, reconnect with personal strengths, and move toward a life that feels more aligned, empowered, and authentic.

  • Drug Dependence / Abuse / Addiction External link

I work with individuals navigating substance use concerns, addiction, recovery, relapse, and the impact these challenges can have on relationships, mental health, and daily life. As a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC I), I take a compassionate, nonjudgmental approach that recognizes change as a process. Together, we explore patterns, build coping skills, strengthen motivation, and support sustainable recovery that aligns with each person's values and goals.

  • Veterans/Military Service External link

I began my clinical career as a supervisor at the Veterans Crisis Line and have specialized training supporting first responders. I understand the unique challenges that can come with high-stress professions, including trauma exposure, burnout, anxiety, depression, substance use, relationship strain, and difficulty transitioning between work and home life. I provide a supportive, collaborative space to build resilience, process experiences, and strengthen coping skills.
