My Ideal Client

I provide individual and couples counseling. Specializing in managing stress, relationships conflicts, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, spiritual abuse, and healing from trauma, I work primarily with adults and teens. I have completed Level 1 of the Gottman Method of couples counseling and am working toward certification. If you would like to explore healing in a safe space with a creative approach, please reach out.

My Approach to Helping

My therapeutic style is empathetic, honest, collaborative, and creative. I use art directives, reflection, affirmation, encouragement, humor, and observation to help you cultivate your awareness, agency, confidence and healing. My practice primarily involves art therapy, for those clients who choose it—I can assure you that no artistic talent is necessary! I aim to create a safe, non-judgmental, compassionate space for you to explore the things that are causing distress or discomfort in your life. Artmaking is a powerful tool that unlocks areas of ourselves we are unable to access verbally. Whether or not you choose to explore art therapy, all my clients benefit from my experience with evidenced-based practices, including The Gottman Method, CBT, DBT, IFS, MI and Non-Violent Communication.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Seeking help is the first step of a courageous journey toward healing and self-discovery. I use the word courageous intentionally because I know that asking for help is hard, sharing your story with someone new is vulnerable, and change can be scary. But I can tell you from experience, my own and so many others, that it is worth the effort. You are worth the effort! Counseling is an investment you make in yourself, in your relationships and in your future. My career has taken a winding road from grad school and working as a counselor, through child rearing, art education, and fine art. I am returning to counseling with a deeper, broader base of knowledge and experience that will enrich my practice and your experience as a client.
