My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I work with adults navigating life transitions, relationships challenges, and emotional stress that often goes unspoken. Many of my clients are high-functioning, thoughtful people who feel stuck, disconnected, or under pressure to hold everything together. Much of my work focuses on men's mental health. I often work men facing career changes, relationship strain, divorce or separation, becoming a parent, aging or questioning long-held roles and expectations. These experience may show up as anxiety, depression, irritability, emotional shutdown or difficulty communicating. I also work with adults of all genders dealing with anxiety, burnout, loneliness, recurring relationship patterns, self-criticism or a loser of direction. My approach is relational and grounded, focused on understanding patterns, building emotional awareness, and supporting meaningful, sustainable change. If you're feeling overwhelmed, disconnected or at a turning point, this work may be a good fit.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • Attachment Theory External link

My work is grounded in attachment theory, informed by my master’s research and PhD dissertation on attachment, along with training in Duey Freeman’s attachment model. I help clients understand how early relational patterns influence emotions, relationships, and behavior, and how change is possible through awareness and connection.

  • Depth Therapy External link

My work is grounded in depth psychotherapy, informed by doctoral training in psychodynamic approaches, including Jungian theory and other depth traditions. This includes exploring dreams, unconscious patterns, archetypal themes, and shadow material. Therapy focuses on understanding the inner landscape and how deeper psychological forces shape behavior, relationships, and meaning.

  • Contemplative External link

I am trained in contemplative psychotherapy, drawing from mindfulness, meditation, Buddhist psychology, and related approaches. This work helps clients slow down, develop awareness, and relate differently to thoughts, emotions, and stress. Practices are integrated thoughtfully and tailored to each client.

  • Gestalt External link

I am trained in Gestalt therapy, with direct training from Duey Freeman and certification through the Art of Instinct program at the Gestalt Institute of the Rockies. Gestalt therapy emphasizes present-moment awareness, embodied experience, and direct engagement to support insight, integration, and meaningful change.

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) External link

My work is informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS). While I am not yet formally certified, I am on the IFS training waitlist and have studied the model extensively through self-directed learning, online trainings, and work with an IFS-trained therapist. I integrate IFS concepts with inner child work, shadow work, and somatic approaches to support insight, integration, and healing.
