My Background and Approach
I moved to Portland in 2019, right before the pandemic! I lived in LA for 22 years, and previous to that San Francisco (and NYC for 2 years, too). As a south asian, queer, woman, born to immigrants I understand the unique and intersectional challenges of oppression in our culture. Having been part of the LGBTQIA community for 3 decades, growing up under the AIDS umbrella in San Francisco Bay Area, and fighting for same sex marriage and rights for sexual freedom has all shaped my work. I learned to trust my community's needs, desires and the feelings within my body. I believe that our connections and trust in ourself is our path forward. I provide a safe space for you to explore this, your relationship/s and how you show up. I encourage us to recognize our experiences as they relate to our stories, breaking down those ideologies which no longer serve us towards finding a well-lit path forward. I see our ability to stand up for our pleasure as path to finding our voice and healing.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe having conversations, complete with suitable language, permission to speak, to understand ourselves in relation to others, is where we must to start. I will work with you at your pace and provide a safe space to do so. It's time to shed the old rules that no longer work for you and create a new path forward that supports your growth and the next phase of your journey.
I have extensive experience, both personal & professional, with ENM/CNM, LGBTQIA, KINK. I believe that our sexuality, gender, relationships are fluid, ever evolving, flowing. I believe our past traumas will always color our experience, but with support and guidance we can look at those from a different persepectives which in time can shift how we respond to them. I believe that emotions, while valid, are also fleeting and giving them space to exist while not letting them run amok is the key to understanding ourselves, our trauma, what drives us and more. Our connections have the potential to heal us.
