My Ideal Client

Many of the people I work with are navigating periods of transition, uncertainty, stress, or emotional overwhelm. This may include relationship changes, parenting challenges, anxiety, burnout, grief, identity shifts, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself or the life you once imagined. Therapy can provide space to slow down, reflect honestly, and move through difficult seasons with greater clarity, self-understanding, and compassion.

My Approach to Helping

My style as a therapist is warm, reflective, interactive, and collaborative. While I tend to be more receptive than directive, I also believe therapy can benefit from honest reflection, curiosity, and meaningful dialogue. My goal is not to tell clients who they should be or what path they should take, but to help them better understand themselves so they can make choices that feel authentic and sustainable for their lives. While I can certainly help clients develop coping strategies and practical tools, I often work best with people searching for something deeper than symptom reduction alone. Many clients want to better understand longstanding emotional patterns, relationships, identity, meaning, or the deeper forces shaping their experiences. As therapy unfolds, I may offer observations, reflections, or intuitions while also checking in to ensure those perspectives genuinely resonate and feel useful for the client.

My Values as a Therapist

I believe people often make more sense than they think they do. Many emotional struggles develop as understandable responses to stress, loss, pressure, conflict, or disconnection over time. Therapy is not about becoming a perfect version of yourself, but about developing a more honest and compassionate relationship with who you already are. I value authenticity, meaningful relationships, humor, creativity, music, parenting, psychology, and the ongoing process of growth and self-understanding that can occur throughout different stages of life. As Leonard Cohen wrote, “There is a crack in everything—that’s how the light gets in.” I believe difficult seasons in life can also create opportunities for reflection, healing, and meaningful change.
