My Ideal Client

Feeling Overwhelmed? Anxious? Depressed? Perhaps you are even feeling hopeless at times? It can be difficult working, taking care of ourselves, or trying to have friends with everything happening right now in the world. Even harder when you have experienced past trauma and/or have ADHD. I know how hard it can be trying to get by and still struggling. It would be an honor to explore how I could help you compassionately navigate this & heal those tender spots.

My Approach to Helping

Every person is unique and different needs. I work to meet folks where they are and use integrative approach in nature. I honor your voice and desires, as healing looks different for all of us. I am compassionately direct through as we navigat it together. Theories I often use are Person-Centered, Mindfulness, TI-CBT, DBT, EMDR, Somatic, Strength- Based, Creative Arts, & Inner Child Work. I also have a Social Justice/Sex-Positive/HAES/Feminist Lens.

Why I am a Good Fit for You

Like most mental health professionals, I joined this field because I have a deep desire to help other people make meaningful changes in their lives. What may be more unique about me is in addition to my education and professional background, that I have lived experience in overcoming adversity. I grew up in in foster care where I lived and moved into over twenty homes in the bible belt before I aged out of the system. I also experienced different types of childhood abuse, trauma, and grief. Not to mention the hardships that come with navigating poverty, being neurodivergent, living in a larger body, and being a femme presenting person. Inherently, I also saw a lot of people suffer around me and fall through cracks in the system. Ultimately, I knew that I wanted to help others also navigate hard experiences. Through it all, including my career and education, I have learned a lot about suffering, healing, and resilience. All of this, makes me a better clinician to help folks.
