My Ideal Client

I often work with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety/OCD, depression, burnout, ADHD and executive functioning concerns, trauma-related symptoms, identity exploration, relationship stress, and major life transitions. Many patients come to me after feeling unheard, misunderstood, or uncertain whether previous diagnoses or treatment approaches fully captured what they were experiencing. I strongly believe in collaborative care and building a trusting therapeutic alliance.

My Background

As a doctorally trained and board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner educated at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), my approach to care is grounded both in clinical expertise and genuine human connection. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, I worked in residential psychiatric care with children and adolescents experiencing some of the highest levels of psychiatric acuity in the state—experiences that deeply shaped the way I understand emotional suffering, resilience and importance of compassionate care. I have extensive experience working with pediatric, adolescent, and young adult populations and strive to create a calm, supportive space where patients feel safe asking questions, exploring concerns, and working collaboratively toward meaningful change.

My Approach to Helping

I practice thoughtful diagnostic clarification, recognizing how trauma, neurodivergence, masking, chronic stress, and emotional patterns can shape mental health in complex, often overlooked ways. My approach is collaborative, affirming, and individualized — grounded in the belief that good psychiatric care requires attention to the full context of a person's lived experience. I believe evidence-based treatment works best when patients feel heard, informed, and empowered in their own care. Rather than rushing toward a prescription, I prioritize careful, unhurried evaluation. My practice is rooted in a trauma-informed lens, with attentiveness to how racism, discrimination, gender identity, sexual orientation, and religious background can impact both mental health and one's relationship with healthcare itself. Every patient deserves to feel seen, respected, and safe — and that's something I actively work to create in every appointment.
