My Ideal Client

Tammy is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who offers holistic, whole person care to adults for depression, anxiety, ADHD, PMDD, peri-menopause, bipolar disorder, and more. While she sees both men and women struggling with diverse issues, she does have a special interest in women's health and has completed additional training from Postpartum Support International in women's health and perinatal prescribing.

My Approach to Helping

My approach to helping is rooted in compassion, collaboration, and respect for the whole person. I believe healing happens when we work together to understand not just symptoms, but your unique story, strengths, and goals. I take a person-first, patient-centered approach—honoring your values, culture, and lived experiences in every step of care. Whether through medication management, supportive therapy, or lifestyle guidance, I aim to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and empowered. Mental health is deeply personal, and I strive to meet you where you are with warmth, curiosity, and a genuine commitment to your well-being. Together, we’ll build a path toward balance, resilience, and greater self-understanding.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I have a deep passion for working with immigrant and underserved communities, shaped by my personal background and years of volunteering with Hispanic, Asian, and rural populations. Advocacy is an important part of who I am—I’m an active supporter of the ACLU and committed to promoting equity and justice in and outside of my clinical work. Outside of my professional life, I’m a devoted animal lover and proud mom to two dogs and a cat. Over the years, I’ve fostered many pets, and my love for animals naturally extends to a deep care for wildlife preservation and protecting our planet’s ecosystems.

Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • ADHD External link

I use a testing software called Creyos to help give us a strong understanding of cognitive functioning, monitor the efficacy of treatments, and practice safe stewardship of controlled substances. This helps me to provide a comprehensive look at your cognitive function, catch cases of ADHD that often go undiagnosed, and help people get the right treatments after possibly being misdiagnosed in the past. It really brings me joy to watch the transformation that goes with good treatment.

  • Postpartum External link

I have extra education from the perinatal prescribing institute where we spent more time learning in depth about caring for women as they move through hormonal transitions. I comfortably weave this knowledge into the care of your mental health as you navigate through life's hormonal changes. I take a person forward approach that won't gaslight your experience of being a woman. We'll work together to help you feel like your best self as you navigate through these periods of intense transition.
