My Approach to Helping

Do you find yourself wondering if you'll ever be able to let go of the past? Do you notice yourself repeating the same painful patterns in relationships, friendships, or work, even when you desperately want something different? Maybe you feel stuck between wanting to set boundaries with family and feeling guilty for doing so. I provide therapy for people who are ready to step out of old patterns and into their lives. Whether you're feeling anxious, overwhelmed, "like a burden," always trying to do everything for everyone else, or simply ready for something different, you're in the right place. I've worn a lot of different hats throughout my career, including Clinical Director, University Instructor, & Clinical Supervisor, but the heart of my work has always been the same: helping people heal from childhood attachment wounds, complex trauma, & intergenerational patterns.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe therapy should be a place where people can feel safe enough to be fully themselves, especially for those who have spent much of their lives adapting to survive. I’m passionate about social justice and believe that our mental health is deeply connected to the social, cultural, and political contexts in which we live. I care deeply about reproductive rights, racial justice and LGBTQIA+ advocacy. Much of my clinical work is with adult women who are healing from sexual assault, intimate partner violence, and childhood trauma. I have a deep respect for the ways people adapt to difficult experiences and believe those adaptations deserve curiosity and compassion rather than judgment. I’m especially interested in supporting women who are ready to move beyond simply surviving to develop a stronger sense of themselves, build healthier relationships, reconnect with their bodies and values, and create lives that feel more authentically their own.
