My Ideal Client

I enjoy working with people of all different ages, abilities, identities, sexual orientations, and backgrounds. I incorporate equity and justice within my work. I especially enjoy working with people as they move through different life cycle stages and the ways that this might impact functioning or sense of identity. I have experience working with people living with anxiety, depression, experienced trauma, and navigating challenges within a complicated family system or relationship.

My Approach to Helping

My approach is psychodynamic, person-centered, and trauma-informed. I believe that human beings thrive off the connections we make and are shaped into our unique selves based off of the feedback we receive from people, communities, and society. Therapy can be an enriching and transformative experience that often requires vulnerability and hard work. My approach is warm, safe, and assertive. My therapeutic work is informed by Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) as I support clients in unpacking the many parts of themselves and their story.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and received my Master's degree in Marriage, Couple, and Family Therapy from Lewis & Clark College. I received a Bachelor's degree in Family & Human Services from University of Oregon. Through experience gained in working within the social work field at various non-profits, I realized my passion for working with people on their relationships by providing direct therapeutic support. I am a white, able-bodied, cisgender woman who strives to improve upon ways to listen and learn from others that identify differently than me. I hold my own unique experience of what it is like to move through the world, just as you hold your own experience. I strive to support you and to advocate for greater equity within society. Your lived experience is important and considered within your therapeutic work and also vital towards positive growth.
