My Ideal Client

I work best with adults who are thoughtful, self-aware, and motivated to understand themselves more deeply, even if they feel overwhelmed or stuck. Many of my clients are navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, or life transitions. Therapy with me is a space where you can show up just as you are, without judgment, and feel truly heard, support

My Approach to Helping

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to healing, so our work together will be guided by your needs, goals, and values. I draw from years of clinical experience and specialized training in trauma-informed, evidence-based therapies, including EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and solution-focused approaches. Sometimes healing looks like talking things through; other times it may involve creative tools such as writing or art. We will use what resonates most with you. Many of the adults I work with are navigating the impact of trauma, major life transitions, ADHD, or the process of rebuilding after leaving high-control environments or rigid belief systems. Together, we will make sense of what you have been through, identify patterns that no longer serve you, and develop practical strategies to support emotional stability and daily functioning. Your story and your strengths both matter. Whether you are processing the past, finding your footing

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

My values influence how I practice therapy. I work from an inclusive, equity-focused framework that centers respect for diverse identities, relationships, and lived experiences, as well as access to basic needs such as healthcare. Because of this, I may not be the best fit for individuals seeking a therapist whose work is guided by more conservative or exclusionary belief systems. I believe therapy works best when there is alignment around safety, dignity, and mutual respect, and I am committed to offering care within that framework.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) External link

I have completed formal coursework and specialized training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and use ACT consistently in my clinical work with adults. This background allows me to confidently apply ACT principles to help clients change their relationship with difficult thoughts and emotions, build psychological flexibility, and make values-based choices. My focus is on practical, real-life application that supports meaningful, sustainable change.

  • EMDR External link

I have completed EMDR training and regularly use EMDR-informed therapy to support adults working through trauma, distressing memories, and stuck emotional patterns. My approach emphasizes safety, preparation, and pacing, ensuring therapy feels manageable and supportive. EMDR allows clients to process experiences in a way that reduces emotional intensity and helps the nervous system settle, supporting greater stability and relief over time.

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) External link

I have training in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and integrate an IFS-informed approach in my work with adults. This allows me to help clients understand different emotional patterns and reactions with greater clarity and compassion. I focus on creating safety and balance so clients can relate to themselves in a less critical way, reduce inner conflict, and respond to challenges with more confidence and flexibility.

  • Solution Focused Brief Therapy External link

I am trained in solution-focused therapy and use this approach to help clients identify strengths, build on what is already working, and move toward clear, achievable goals. Sessions focus on practical change rather than revisiting problems in detail. This method supports forward momentum, increases confidence, and helps clients recognize their ability to create meaningful progress, even during challenging or uncertain periods.

Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • PTSD External link

I help adults who are living with the effects of trauma and PTSD feel safer, more grounded, and more in control of their lives. I use a supportive, collaborative approach and draw from well-researched therapies such as EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Therapy moves at a manageable pace and focuses on reducing distress, understanding trauma responses, and building a life that feels more stable and meaningful.

  • Women's Issues External link

I have spent years working closely with women as they navigate emotional overwhelm, relationship stress, identity shifts, and the lasting impact of past experiences. I value creating a space that feels safe, respectful, and collaborative. I draw from evidenced-based and well-researched approaches to help clients feel more grounded, better understand themselves, and make changes that align with what matters most to them.

  • Aging Concerns External link

I work with adults who are navigating the emotional and practical challenges that can come with aging, including life transitions, changing roles, health concerns, and shifting identities. I offer a supportive, collaborative space to explore these changes with clarity and self-compassion. Drawing from well-researched and evidence-based interventions, I help clients build resilience, process past experiences, and move forward with greater balance and purpose.

  • ADHD External link

I work with adults who have ADHD and are struggling with focus, overwhelm, emotional regulation, or feeling stuck in patterns that do not reflect their abilities. I take a practical, collaborative approach that helps clients better understand how their brains work and develop strategies that fit their lives. Therapy focuses on building structure, reducing self-criticism, improving follow-through, and creating systems that support long-term functioning and well-being.
