My Ideal Client

I work with individuals ages 18+ who are dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, life changes, and low self-esteem, amongst many other things. I love working with folks who identify as a highly sensitive person or neurodivergent, and may have trouble with people-pleasing, shame, social worries, or overstimulation. I am honored to work with folks of any gender expression, sexual orientation, race, culture, religion, age, size, and differing ability.

My Approach to Helping

My approach combines Internal Family Systems (sometimes called Parts Work) therapy and elements of Cognitive Behavioral therapy that focuses on the quieting the inner critic or other loud, unhelpful parts. I incorporate mindful self-compassion work through a gentle, warm style that allows for my clients to put their walls down and learn to be their authentic selves. I often dig into the past and explore aspects of childhood that impacted you negatively and work with the inner child. I might also incorporate mindfulness, meditation, and somatic elements into sessions.

My Values as a Therapist

I am passionate about helping individuals become aligned with the truest version of themselves. Underneath layers of shame, rejection, trauma & societal expectations lies a version of you that is untouched by these harmful experiences and wants to be seen. I will help you to identify your inherent strengths, develop a deeper understanding of yourself, and navigate how to change internal & external parts of your life that are not serving you. I believe change occurs when individuals are able to confront their inner wounds and learn to accept and love the parts of themselves that have been morphed by adversity & trauma. Together we will get in touch with emotions, understand how past experiences have made you who you are today, quiet a harsh inner critic, and reduce shame & self-judgement.
