My Ideal Client

I work best with thoughtful, reflective adults who are navigating life transitions, questions of meaning, spiritual concerns, or the long-term effects of trauma. Many of my clients are in the second half of life and are seeking depth rather than quick solutions. I am especially helpful for people who want to integrate psychological healing with values, spirituality, or contemplative practice.

My Background and Approach

I bring more than thirty years of experience as a licensed psychotherapist, clinical supervisor, and spiritual director. My work is informed by depth psychology, trauma-informed care, Internal Family Systems–informed therapy, and contemplative traditions. I offer a steady, grounded presence rather than a directive or technique-driven approach. I believe healing unfolds through careful listening, respect for the nervous system, and attention to what is emerging beneath symptoms. While I work clinically, I also welcome questions of meaning, values, and spirituality when they are important to the client. My approach is thoughtful, relational, and paced to support lasting integration rather than quick change.

My Values as a Therapist

I value presence, humility, ethical clarity, and respect for each person’s lived experience. I believe therapy works best when it is collaborative, grounded, and attentive to both psychological and existential dimensions of life. I am committed to clear boundaries, informed consent, and honoring client autonomy. I welcome clients from diverse backgrounds, belief systems, and identities, including those who identify as spiritual, religious, questioning, or non-religious. I strive to offer a space that is inclusive, non-judgmental, and responsive to the realities of trauma, loss, aging, and change. My aim is not to fix people, but to accompany them toward greater wholeness.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • Transpersonal External link

Transpersonal psychology honors the full spectrum of human experience—including spiritual awakening, mystical insight, and the search for meaning beyond the self. It integrates psychology with contemplative wisdom from diverse traditions, supporting growth that is emotional, psychological, and spiritual. In this approach, we explore not just what's wrong, but what’s emerging—your deeper values, longings, and inner knowing. Whether you're in crisis or on a path of discovery, this can help.

  • Mindfulness-based External link

Mindfulness invites you to slow down, breathe, and notice what’s happening in the present moment—without judgment. Through simple practices, you can become more aware of your thoughts, emotions, and body, creating space for clarity and choice. Whether you're managing anxiety, navigating change, or seeking greater inner peace, mindfulness offers gentle, practical tools to reconnect with yourself and live with greater ease and intention.

  • Psychodynamic  External link

The psychodynamic approach explores how your past—especially early relationships and unconscious patterns—shapes your present thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. By bringing hidden dynamics into awareness, you gain insight into recurring struggles and deepen self-understanding. Together, we create a therapeutic relationship that becomes a safe space for reflection, healing, and transformation. This approach supports lasting change by addressing root causes rather than just symptoms.

  • Contemplative External link

A contemplative approach values stillness, deep listening, and the wisdom that arises when we slow down. Rooted in ancient spiritual traditions and modern psychology, it invites presence, curiosity, and compassion toward your inner life. Rather than rushing to fix, we make space to notice, reflect, and trust the unfolding process. This gentle, spacious work supports healing, meaning-making, and connection with something greater—however you define it.

Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • Spirituality External link

I have a master's degree in Transpersonal Psychology. I am certified as a Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapist. I often utilize the Enneagram in my work with clients. I enjoy working with clients who have experienced religious harm. I also enjoy working with clients who want to use spiritual resources to further personal growth.

  • Personal Growth External link

Many people come to this work with a desire to know themselves more deeply, live with greater authenticity, or move through a life transition with clarity and intention. Together, we can explore the patterns that no longer serve you, cultivate greater emotional awareness, and reconnect you with what brings meaning, purpose, and vitality to your life. Whether you're navigating a shift in identity, career, relationships, or simply feeling a call toward deeper self-understanding.

  • Loss or Grief External link

Grief comes in many forms—death, divorce, illness, lost dreams, or the unraveling of identity. It may come with sorrow, numbness, anger, or even relief. Whatever you're feeling, you don't have to go through it alone. This is a space to honor what you've lost, make meaning of what remains, and slowly find your footing again. I offer a compassionate, non-judgmental presence where grief can unfold at its own pace. Whether your loss is recent or long past, together we can tend the ache—and heal.

  • Anxiety External link

Anxiety can show up as racing thoughts, restlessness, muscle tension, or a constant sense of unease. It may leave you feeling overwhelmed, stuck in your head, or unable to fully engage with life. In our work together, we’ll create a safe, grounded space to explore what’s driving your anxiety and to practice tools that bring calm, clarity, and resilience. You don’t have to face it alone—and healing is possible, even if it hasn’t felt that way before.

  • Aging Concerns External link

Aging brings both challenges and invitations—changes in health, identity, relationships, and purpose. You may be reflecting on what matters most, grieving losses, or navigating uncertainty about the future. Therapy can offer a space to explore these transitions with honesty and compassion. Whether you’re facing retirement, caregiving, illness, or simply wondering what comes next, we can work together to honor your experience and support a life of meaning, dignity, and continued growth.
