My Ideal Client

I work with individuals, couples, teens, and families who feel stuck in patterns that are difficult to understand or change. You may be navigating OCD, anxiety, intrusive thoughts, relationship struggles, life transitions, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself or the people you love. My clients are often thoughtful and self-aware, but find that insight alone hasn’t created the change they’re looking for.

My Approach to Helping

I take a holistic and systemic approach to therapy, looking beyond symptoms to understand the patterns, relationships, experiences, and beliefs shaping your life. My work integrates ACT, IFS, ERP, attachment-based and relational approaches, along with mindfulness and somatic awareness. Together, we’ll approach difficult experiences with curiosity rather than judgment, while also building practical ways to respond differently. I believe meaningful change comes not from becoming a different person, but from understanding yourself more deeply and creating more choice in how you move through your life.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe people make sense within the context of their experiences, relationships, families, and the systems around them. I’m less interested in asking “What’s wrong with you?” and more interested in understanding “What happened, what did you learn, and what is this pattern trying to do for you?” I value curiosity, authenticity, humor, and compassion, and I believe therapy should make room for complexity rather than forcing people into simple categories. My background in psychology, mindfulness, meditation, and yoga has also shaped my appreciation for the connection between mind and body. I strive to create an inclusive, affirming space for people with diverse identities, relationships, and family structures. You don’t need to fit a particular mold—or have yourself completely figured out—to belong in therapy.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) External link

I use ACT to help clients develop a different relationship with difficult thoughts, emotions, and experiences rather than constantly trying to eliminate or control them. Together, we build awareness of patterns, practice making room for discomfort, clarify what matters most, and work toward choices that align with your values and the life and relationships you want to create.

Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • OCD External link

I have specialized training in OCD, including the International OCD Foundation’s Behavior Therapy Training Institute (BTTI). I work with many OCD presentations, including intrusive thoughts, checking, contamination, scrupulosity, relationship OCD, “just right” experiences, and health-related fears. My approach incorporates ERP and ACT while considering the whole person beyond the OCD.
