My Ideal Client

I enjoy working with clients along a wide spectrum of issues, including anxiety, depression, life transitions, anger, and trauma.

My Approach to Helping

I approach therapy from an Emotions Focused perspective. We all long for wholeness, but so often we feel fragmented, anxious, and disconnected from ourselves and others. Therapy is a space we can hit pause together and relationally work towards becoming more integrated people with deeper reserves of hope and resilience.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Hello! I am excited to meet you and work with you towards meeting your mental health goals. A little about me: I am a pre-licensed therapist working towards my master's degree in counseling at Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon. I am an avid runner, reader, and sourdough bread enthusiast, and enjoy getting outdoors with my spouse and toddler.

Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • Anxiety External link

I use emotionally focused techniques to help clients become more aware of their underlying feelings, and to practice engaging with in a safe space rather than running away from what brings us anxiety.

  • Depression External link

I work within an emotionally focused framework and bring ideas and techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy to help clients uncover the thoughts and feelings behind their depressive symptoms, which lays the groundwork for breaking free of those cycles.

  • Men's Issues External link

I work with men in regards to pornography addictions, sexual difficulties, emotional and physical burnout, anger, and the anxiety and depression which often accompany the difficulties listed above. I provide a non-judgmental and supportive space, while also helping clients work through the resistance they might have to taking the steps necessary to see positive change.
