My Ideal Client

Are you a parent just trying to survive one day at a time? Struggling to balance your identity as a caregiver, your professional ambitions, your relationships - and maybe your creative endeavors? Has parenthood pushed you to face difficult childhood experiences or previous grief and loss? Are you an artist or creative wanting to be generative but feeling overloaded with parenthood? Are you navigating life as a queer or neurodivergent parent without a playbook? I would love to help!

My Approach to Helping

My approach to therapy is warm, strengths-based, and playful. I believe in building a collaborative therapeutic relationship focused on building resilience and developing self-awareness. I utilize interventions from Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as narrative, art, and experiential therapy techniques. I received my M.Ed. in Educational Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin in 2017, where I completed advanced coursework in mindfulness, play therapy & sand tray interventions, and career development. I’ve also obtained training through Starr Commonwealth’s Trauma Informed Care program. I’m currently practicing under the supervision of Majken Elek, LPC (#C4628).

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am a white, queer, non-binary, and neurodivergent therapist, mother, writer, educator, and dreamer. I grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and spent a decade in Texas before relocating to the Pacific Northwest. A former public school teacher and counselor, I now work as a therapist at Bridges Therapy Group and teach writing classes to adults and teens around Portland.
