My Ideal Client

My areas of emphasis are relationships, trans-affirming care, neurodiversity, LGBTQIA+ concerns, trauma, sexuality, & multi-ethnic/cultural identity. I believe that exploring our life experiences from a stance of curiosity & self-compassion, while being open to testing new behaviors, perspectives, and mindsets, allows us opportunities to become unstuck, heal, and find new ways to address life challenges. I work best with clients who are willing to engage in this exploration and try new things.

My Approach to Helping

For individuals of marginalized identities, seeking out a therapist can be a stressful process due to anticipation of discrimination or bias by providers. It is important to me that you feel heard, validated, and respected while you share and process your life experiences in therapy. It is my core intention to be present, humble, and authentically supportive with all of my clients during our work together. I offer a safe, compassionate space to explore yourself and your life experiences to promote insight and work through the factors causing you distress, while collaboratively identifying potential shifts that will allow you to manifest who you want to be. I pull from orientations that are relational and developmentally based, such as psychodynamic therapy, while integrating action-oriented methods from multiple approaches (e.g., CBT, ACT, solution-focused) to promote distress relief and lay the foundation for on-going stress/emotion management and healthy relationships.
