My Ideal Client

My ideal client is an adult navigating the long-term impacts of emotional neglect, often rooted in growing up emotionally unavailable caregivers. I specialize in working with adult children of alcoholics, individuals struggling with SUD, adult survivors of childhood sex abuse, sex and love addiction, and complex PTSD. Drawing from my experience in trauma-informed care, EMDR, and depth psychological approaches, I support reconnecting with their embodied self, healing attachment wounds.

My Approach to Helping

As a trauma-informed therapist, I specialize in helping individuals navigate the deep roots of emotional pain and psychological wounding. My approach is integrative, drawing from psychodynamic therapy to explore unconscious patterns and relational dynamics, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to resolve traumatic memories stored in the nervous system, and active imagination to engage the healing power of the psyche through symbol, image, and inner dialogue. I hold a deep respect for the complexity of trauma and the unique path of each individual’s healing journey. Whether working with developmental trauma, complex PTSD, or grief, my work is grounded in curiosity, compassion, and a trust in the psyche’s innate capacity to move toward wholeness. My goal is to support clients in accessing inner resources, restoring self-trust, and cultivating a more embodied, meaningful life.

My Approach to Helping

My Philosophical approach to Psychotherapy includes a psychodynamic interpretation of mental and emotional processes rooted in psychoanalysis drawing from object relations, ego psychology and self psychology which aims to address the foundation and formulation of the psychological processes with the goal of reducing symptoms and improving people’s lives. My role as a therapist is to help people gain insight into their lives and current problems by evaluating and reviewing patterns that include emotions, thoughts, early life experience, and beliefs. Recognizing these patterns help people see how they avoid distress or develop defense mechanisms to cope. I believe these insights can allow for lasting change.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • Depth Therapy External link

Depth psychology proposes that the psychic process is partially conscious, unconscious, and semi-conscious. In practice, a depth therapist seeks to explore the thoughts, feelings, and motivations that lie at each level as a way to connect with the roots of the experience of malady that may include therapeutic traditions that explores the unconscious and involves the study and exploration of dreams, complexes, and archetypes. Depth Psychology is based on the theories of Carl Gustav Jung.
