I work with adults with a wide range of concerns--anxiety, depression, trauma, adjustment disorder and psychosocial adaptation to disability. My ideal client is someone who is committed to the counseling process and willing to show up and do the work. My hope for you is that with support, empathy and compassion, you feel heard, empowered, find the ability to heal and to overcome barriers in changing behaviors.

My Background

I hold a Master of Science degree in Counselor Education with a focus in Rehabilitation from Portland State University. I am also a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC). I have been working in the field of counseling field 2014.

I recognize that engaging in the counseling process can be challenging and hard. With that in mind, it truly is an honor and privilege to be able to a part of your journey. My approach to counseling focuses on the therapeutic relationship and collaboration. I take a strength based, person-centered approach when working with each client. In our time together, you will find a space where you can process, vent and explore with openness and honesty. I meet clients where they are at and work with each individual to determine which counseling approach would best suit their needs. I incorporate humor, traditional talk therapy and utilize goal-oriented practices such as Cognitive Behavioral therapies, Existential and Humanistic Therapies, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.
