My Ideal Client

My experience is in supporting individuals and families as they navigate unique challenges at various stages of eating disorder recovery, however, I also work with those struggling with body image concerns, the impacts of diet culture, problematic relationships with food and exercise, and the like. I also have experience treating a variety of other presenting issues related to body image, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, identity, life transitions, trauma, parenting, and family conflict.

My Approach to Helping

I value working from a systemic lens both in individual and family therapy. I collaborate with clients to identify and achieve their goals by helping them recognize and build upon their strengths and abilities. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches to effectively and creatively support your shift towards change. I’m here to witness your experience with empathy, to explore opportunities for growth with curiosity, and to offer reflection and support in ways that feel aligned with who you are. My goal is to help you and your family strengthen resilience, heal from relational challenges, and develop a deeper sense of understanding and peace. When offering eating disorder support to individuals and their families, we will explore your relationship with food, body, and movement, while collaborating on meaningful ways to challenge unhelpful patterns, strengthen coping skills, and address the deeper issues that impact your life. My approach is informed by principles of HAES.

My Values as a Therapist

I believe in the power and importance of forming a genuine connection with my clients. I approach healing from a relational perspective, which means I will help you examine how you connect with others, explore the impacts of these connections, and identify areas for growth. My goal as a clinician is to create a space that feels safe and supportive, where you know you are truly being seen and heard. I prioritize supporting families of all backgrounds to strengthen their relationships with themselves and others by helping them develop tools and techniques to lead healthier and happier lives. It is especially important to me that I continue to serve historically marginalized populations, and to be a resource for those who feel alone, unheard, misunderstood, or underrepresented.
