My Ideal Client

My clients are often thoughtful, self-aware people who feel stuck in patterns they can't fully explain. They may struggle with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, life transitions, or questions about identity and belonging. Many want more than symptom relief. They're looking for a space to understand themselves more deeply, make sense of their experiences, and build more authentic, fulfilling relationships with themselves and others.

My Background and Approach

I specialize in psychodynamic therapy. This way of working is grounded in the idea that much of our mental life exists outside of awareness. In therapy, we have the opportunity to bring these experiences into fuller view in support of greater authenticity, autonomy, and well-being. I am interested in slowing down and helping us both to understand you, even the parts of you that are difficult to face. You can expect a confidential, collaborative space to show up as yourself and say what is on your mind. Whether it's the weight of what you're holding alone, a knot in your stomach, not knowing what to do, not doing what you want, or a longing for something more, all of it belongs here. This is a space to look together and become curious about the experience of your mind, body, and heart, no matter where you're starting from. I'll listen deeply, engage thoughtfully, notice with you what may be hard to see on your own, and help you get in touch with yourself.

My Values as a Therapist

I believe healing and growth occur through meaningful relationships. My hope is to offer a space where you feel safe to bring whatever is on your mind and explore it with curiosity and care. I have specialized experience working with BIPOC and LGBTQ+ clients, and I consider myself particularly attuned to the experiences of those who may feel outside of dominant norms and expectations, or feel caught between different worlds, relationships, or versions of themselves. I hold deep respect for my clients and what unfolds through time, trust, and genuine connection. If this resonates with you, I warmly invite you to reach out.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • Relational  External link

The relationship that forms between us will be unique and collaborative, and I hope to provide an attuned space where you can be comfortable to come as you are. Our relationship can also be a window into patterns that occur with others outside of therapy. This can lead to meaningful insight and change as we notice and understand these patterns together in real time.

  • Psychodynamic  External link

I have advanced post graduate training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy from the Chicago Center for Psychoanalysis and am a member of the Oregon Psychoanalytic Center. Working in depth can be helpful to resolve long standing patterns of relating towards oneself and others.
