My Ideal Client
My clients typically have anxiety or anxiety symptoms that make life just that much harder. I have experience with grief and trauma LGBTQIA+, ethical nonmonogamy, and polyamory. I currently work with clients who are anywhere from 20+.
My Approach to Helping
My goal is to provide you with tools for your toolbox so that when life pulls a fast one, you have the tools to help regulate, process and get through it. I am direct, challenging, and interactive but also provide warmth and empathy to create the space that you need. I work from an eclectic style pulling from modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral, DBT and other mindfulness-based practices.
Why I Became a Therapist
I became a counselor after trying to process and come to terms with the trauma and loss that I had previously experienced. It took me many years to be able to talk about what I went through and that's when I realized that sometimes, you just need someone to listen. Someone specifically who is a neutral party, someone who can look at what you're going through and empathize without judgement.
