My Approach to Helping
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and founder of Rise & Thrive Therapy. With six years of experience, I specialize in supporting teens, adults, and families through eating disorders, anxiety, body image concerns, perfectionism, and identity exploration. Before private practice, I worked at a residential program for adolescents with eating disorders. My approach is relational, collaborative, and trauma-informed—grounded in warmth, curiosity, and genuine connection. I draw from evidence-based practices like CBT, DBT, ACT, and family systems, while always centering each person’s unique story. My goal is to help clients deepen self-understanding, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful, lasting change. I’m especially passionate about helping people find freedom from disordered eating and the pressures of perfectionism, so they can live with greater balance, authenticity, and self-trust.
My Values as a Therapist
I believe therapy should be a space where all identities are honored and where healing includes both personal growth and collective care. My work is rooted in values of compassion, equity, and authenticity—I’m committed to social justice and to creating an affirming space for clients of all backgrounds, identities, and bodies. I believe in challenging systems that contribute to shame and disconnect while helping clients reconnect with their inherent worth. Outside of therapy, I find meaning in volunteering at a local animal shelter, spending time outdoors, and staying involved in community efforts that promote inclusion and mental health awareness. I see healing as both an individual and community process—when we care for ourselves, we also create ripples of change in the world around us.
