My Ideal Client

I work with children, adolescents, and young adults, as well as couples and families from diverse cultural and social backgrounds. I’m especially passionate about supporting immigrants, children of immigrants, Asian Americans, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and culturally sensitive, grounded in a deep respect for the uniqueness of each individual and their relationships.

My Approach to Helping

In my practice, I draw from Virginia Satir’s Human Growth Model, Integrative Systemic Therapy (IST), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Play Therapy, and Positive Psychology. These frameworks allow me to help clients strengthen self-esteem, improve communication, and build deeper, more authentic connections—with themselves and with others. Therapy is not about having all the answers—it’s about exploring, feeling, and creating meaning out of the chaos in the process. It would be my honor to walk alongside you as we sort through life’s challenges together, creating space for healing, clarity, and growth.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I strive to offer a space where you can bring your whole self—your struggles, dreams, and everything in between. Together, we can make sense of the parts of your story that feel unclear and continue to develop the strengths that have carried you this far. I believe that the most significant growth often arises from the very places that feel uncertain or painful, and that through compassion and curiosity, we can transform those moments into opportunities for healing and understanding. A little about me: I use he/him pronouns, I’m Korean-American, and I am in my third and final year of my Marriage and Family Therapy master's program at Northwestern University. I love the outdoors and nature, listening to music, and playing video games!
