My Ideal Client

Are you or your child struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions or adjustments? Maybe you are struggling as a parent or have a child with behavioral concerns? You're not alone on this beautiful yet sometimes challenging journey. Taking the first step toward change is often the most challenging. But remember, transformation is possible, and you have the strength to create it. I want to be by your side to help you walk through the challenges you or your loved one are facing.

My Approach to Helping

I recognize the importance in having a connection in order to have positive change. I prioritize creating a safe, nonjudgemental environment where we can explore together life's challenges. I use a collaborative approach that includes several evidence based treatments depending on your needs. As a certified Parent Child Interaction Therapist (PCIT) and Parent Child Interaction Therapist for Toddlers (PCIT-T), I use that as my primary approach for children 7 and younger. PCIT involves teaching the parent and/or guardian the skills of a play therapist so that your child may receive those benefits throughout their week. I also use evidenced based treatments for teens and adults including Motivational Interviewing for when you are feeling stuck and Brief Solution Focused therapy to help you move to discovering goals and solutions to help you through life's challenges. Lastly, I see the benefits of a Family Systems approach, to help through concerns in the context of the family unit.

Why I Became a Therapist

As a child, I struggled with anxiety, undiagnosed ADHD, and depression. I did not get the opportunity to participate in therapy until I was a young adult and I can personally attest to the power of therapy. I want to be able to provide counseling services to those seeking out to help support their children or those adults who have not had the opportunity to get support until now. I know what it feels like to think you have to go through life alone, and I am here to tell you that you don't. The support is there, and I want to help provide that to you. If it sounds like we could be a good fit, please reach out!
