Few other transitions are as significant and life altering as the transition into parenthood. In therapy it is my goal to carve a space for you in your life where you are able to slow down, openly discuss the highs and lows of conception, pregnancy, and parenthood, and to focus on your own mental health. I am passionate about supporting parents and offering a space for them to prioritize themselves whether we are processing life challenges, healing trauma, or holding grief.
Specialties
The time surrounding the process of trying to conceive, infertility, loss, birth trauma, pregnancy, and postpartum can be overwhelming and challenge our resiliency, beliefs, and mental health. Learning to navigate our day to day lives while additionally holding the demands and stress of these times can further add to feelings of overwhelm, grief, isolation, or anxiety. I am familiar with and understand these experiences and will help you to cope with and transition through these experiences.
Experiencing pregnancy loss is a devastating and isolating experience. I have seen many women grieve and bear this burden quietly, but the experience of your journey and story should be seen and held. Miscarriages are estimated to occur in 10-15% of early pregnancies and it is a personal passion of mine to normalize the experience of discussing pregnancy loss and create space for women to fully feel and process their grief.
The experience of infertility is too often a process that is endured quietly. However the grief and pain that accompanies infertility is significant and needs a space to be held, validated, nurtured, and seen. It is my hope that people do not endure this process independently and seek extra support in the wake of this experience.
