My Ideal Client

I enjoy working with a wide range of individuals and have specialized training in the treatment of mood related disorders. I work well with individuals who identify as being "emotionally sensitive" and struggle with impulsive behaviors. I also work well with those who have a hard time experiencing their emotions and want to be more fully present in their lives.

My Background and Approach

I use a balance of acceptance and change strategies. Incorporating a mindfulness approach to work with experiencing emotions fully, while also practicing tolerating the painful emotions that we may push away. I am intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Prolonged Exposure for trauma. Although I do not offer comprehensive DBT therapy in my private practice; I do incorporate DBT strategies in my therapy approach. I am queer friendly, sex positive, a little rebellious, and value the combination of validation and irreverence.
