My clients are searching for authenticity, their inner truth, and a feeling of direction and purpose in life. They are soul-searchers who have experienced a dark night of soul, and are looking to restore their inner light. My clients are interested in self awareness and connecting to their inner wisdom. My clients are also looking for a relational and dynamic therapist that offers tools for coping, skills to practice, as well as a depth of insight into their symptoms.
Specialties
I was trained in IFS in 2012 and have used it since. I love working with inner parts and a big part of my approach is cultivating inner wisdom and connection to self. Parts include managers, firefighters, and exiles. The self is framed as the center of personality that is compassionate and curious that encompasses all the parts, but is also something greater that is partly unknown and to be discovered.
I provide art therapy via telehealth and like to make art in session or provide clients with prompts to explore creatively in and outside of session. I encourage clients to keep a journal of some kind for writing, art, dreams, or notes in session.
I am a Jungian oriented psychotherapist and integrate dreamwork, active imagination, and archetypal ways of knowing into our session. I am a certified archetypal astrologer. I offer astrological counseling as a way to access the archetypal map of an individual's life.
Constructing meaning is important as we weave the narrative of our lives. I believe it is helpful to consider what the universe, self, God, soul, the unconscious, etc. is putting in front of us. At times we observe what is occurring outside of us as having a larger meaning for our lives. It is helpful to observe things symbolically to help tap into the what the unconscious is bringing forth to be integrated.
