I specialize in working with people experiencing anxiety and depression. However, I see clients with a wide variety of difficulties, including relationship concerns, self-esteem and shame, and trauma. Additionally, I often see clients with a diverse range of sexual orientations and gender identities, and with clients in non-monogamous relationships.
I specialize in working with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, or a combination of the two. Depression can be incredibly debilitating and painful, but it is also treatable. The techniques I use with depressed clients focus on understanding depressive thought patterns and changing the behavior cycles that of perpetuate depression.
Anxiety and depression occur together frequently, but may occur separately as well. The techniques I use with anxious clients include mindfulness-based exercises to manage symptoms, changing the cognitive distortions that feed anxiety, and learning scientifically-supported behavioral strategies to reduce anxious thoughts and feelings.
