My Approach to Helping
I will walk alongside you, creating abundant space for you–your story, your needs, your questions, your dreams. I will offer my steady and accepting presence as you restore and reinvigorate your relationship with yourself–one that is gentle, kind, and radically responsible. My approach is grounded in mindful self-compassion, curiosity, collaboration, and profound reverence for the wonder and possibility of change. I hold a deep, enduring trust in your strength, courage, and ability to access your inherent wisdom. Self-reflection, engagement, and experimentation with new ways of showing up in the world are all essential elements of the process.
A life that feels authentic, expansive, balanced, sustainable, and aligned with your values, with plenty of room for nuance and imperfection, is available to you. Seeking support is one of the most generous gifts you can offer yourself. I would love to connect with you and learn more about what you’re looking for.
Why I Became a Therapist
I hold a commitment to supporting clients with interrupting intergenerational patterns of shame and fear that can emerge as we encounter challenges and times of uncertainty. Related sticky patterns like perfectionism, rigidity, isolation, self-abandonment, and disconnection–while usually formed as strategies to keep us safe–become frustrating, burdensome legacies that interfere with our lives, right here and now.
I appreciate the liminal space of transition as being inherently rich with opportunity. Together we have an opportunity to collaborate in exploring the myriad facets of your experience. As we gently examine and unfurl your unique patterns and beliefs, you will more easily orient towards a life that feels deeply authentic and aligned.
Witnessing clients as they access creativity, courage, vulnerability, and hope while simultaneously reflecting about the process is what I love best about this work. I am reminded daily of the innate capacity for resilience we all possess.
