My Ideal Client

I work with all types of clients hoping to reconnect to themselves and those around them. I have specific experience working with the queer community and love connecting with folx who identify with autism spectrum disorder, and those in mixed neurotype relationships. Clients who work with me are typically looking for help communicating, setting boundaries, deepening their self-love and self-respect, and exploring themes in their life that have led to disconnection or self-doubt.

My Approach to Helping

As a systemic therapist you can expect me to be interested in your relationships, your family, your culture, your physical body, and your spiritual practices. I will pay special attention to things like your dreams and might ask you to work creatively or use mindfulness techniques during our sessions. In individual therapy we will work together to uncover your inner wisdom, explore aspects of your identity, process challenging experiences, and gain insight into the events or patterns that bring you to therapy. In relational therapy you and your therapy partner will learn new skills to self-regulate, communicate effectively and express your needs, and gain deeper understanding of each other’s inner worlds. We will work from an Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) framework, an attachment based model, by relating current and past events, while centering you and your therapy partner’s emotional experiences.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that we are all entitled to love, respect, self-confidence, and the ability to live freely. Unfortunately, our society does not afford those privileges to everyone in equal measure. You can expect me to name the way society impacts us and to disclose parts of my own experience and identity that might influence our therapeutic relationship. My goal is to help you reconnect with your intuition and the ability to confidently express who you are with confidence and joy. Paying attention to the mind/body connection, as well as cultivating practices of deep rest(oration) has provided insight and healing in my own life and it is something you can expect me to bring into our work together. Clients typically describe me as gentle, authentic, and direct. -
