My Ideal Client

I work with adult patients with a wide range of mental health concerns with a special focus on anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, grief/loss, OCD, social anxiety, work-related stress, burnout, life transitions, and understanding one’s identity and inner experience. Whether you’re navigating stress, working through tough emotions, or exploring your identity, I’m here to walk with you in that process.

My Background

I’m a board-certified psychiatrist, trained at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a Harvard Medical School affiliate for psychiatry residency, and I earned my combined medical doctorate and masters of public health from the University of Texas Southwestern. I offer compassionate, personalized care and a thoughtful, holistic approach to mental health treatment, while also drawing upon my rigorous academic training. Originally from Texas, my family and I relocated to the beautiful Pacific Northwest in search of more nature and forests. My father is from India (hence the last name Mokashi), and my mother is a multigeneration American. My mixed ethnicity has deeply shaped me and informs my perspective and approach as a clinician.

My Approach to Helping

While my training is rooted in Western medicine, I’m always seeking out broader perspectives on healing. Practices like yoga and meditation are personally meaningful to me and influence how I think about well-being. I completed a Certificate in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies & Research through the Center for Psychedelic Therapies and Research (CPTR) at the California Institute of Integral Studies, which has deepened my appreciation for expanded models of healing and integrative care. I use evidence-based approaches, including medication and psychotherapy, while recognizing that healing is not one-size-fits-all and can look different for each individual. My approach is trauma-informed, anti-racist, and inclusive. I specialize in combining medication management with therapy to provide comprehensive, individualized support. My therapy style is eclectic, grounded primarily in psychodynamic therapy with thoughtful incorporation of skills-based modalities such as DBT, CBT, and ACT.
