My Approach to Helping

I view therapy as a collaborative process and intend to bring curiosity, creativity, authenticity, humor and warmth to the space. Together we can learn tools to help you live life with more ease and explore ways that support you in making growth focused changes. In our work, we can try different approaches that assist you to self soothe when difficulties arise, communicate more effectively in your relationships, and explore emotions and allow space for you to process about experiences you’ve had in your life. I draw upon a variety of tools and frameworks including mindfulness-based approaches, motivational interviewing, polyvagal theory and somatic approaches, DBT skills, and expressive arts techniques.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

There’s a lot going on in the world, our lives, and the systems we exist within. It often leaves us feeling disconnected from ourselves and others. I am to assist you with identifying the practices that feel most anchoring for your sense of wellbeing and provide a contained and connective space for you to navigate the challenges you're facing. We all need assistance along our paths, and my goal is to help you clear the way and connect with your own inherent strengths and capacities. I value learning, authenticity, integrity, cultural humility, identity affirming care, and social justice. My intention is to create a nourishing and supportive therapeutic environment that allows for healing, connection, and transformation.
