My Ideal Client

I enjoy working with individual adult clients who want to participate more fully in their lives and who are looking for a supportive, empathetic therapist to address their concerns. Many of my clients experience the unique pain of infertility, loss, or have recently navigating the transition to parenthood. My clients seek therapy to heal their own childhood wounds and unmet emotional needs. Many of my clients are also part of the LGBTQ+ community, and I am an affirming provider.

My Background and Approach

I hold a Masters Degree in Social Work (2011), a B.S. in Child Development/Family Relations and a B.S. in Psychology (2009). Following my education, I have worked with adults, children, and family-systems within clinic, home-based, and hospital settings. Clients describe me as warm, compassionate, and relatable with a willingness to incorporate humor as part of the healing process. While I am kind and supportive, I also challenge stuck-points to create movement and directly address client distress and mental health symptoms. I utilize an eclectic approach to therapy as every client benefits from a tailored plan that matches their unique needs. My therapeutic lens is heavily influenced by attachment theory, systems theory, human development, self-compassion, and trauma-informed care. I believe in a collaborative therapeutic relationship in which we can work together in treating your symptoms and helping you participate more fully in your life.
