My Ideal Client

I really enjoy being a therapist! I like working with lots of different clients, but my specialties include working with those with ADHD, ASD, AuDHD, and trauma. Some other specialties include anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, life transitions including the transition to college, grief & loss, burnout recovery, women's issues, LGBTQIA+ issues, recovery from narcissistic abuse, chronic illness and disabilities, and adults estranged from their parents/families.

My Approach to Helping

I pride myself on making therapy approachable and actually helpful. I know that starting therapy can feel daunting, so I won't just sit back and wait for you to lead. In our sessions, you can expect a conversational, warm, and guided approach backed by actionable tools that go far beyond journaling or breathing exercises. If you are neurodivergent and/or have trauma, you may have realized that the typically recommended anxiety and depression management skills just don't work very well! This can be frustrating, make you feel misunderstood, and get in the way of your progress. ----- In addition to the insurances listed, I am pending with other insurances if you'd like to be on my waitlist. I also offer self-pay and sliding scale options!

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I'm a life long learner and pride myself on staying on top of current research, methodologies, books, and tools. In addition to extensive trainings (EMDR Level 1 & 2, Certified Clinical Autism Specialist, Certified ADHD Professional) I have lived experience that allows me to connect with you more and really "get it". I am late diagnosed neurodivergent, and have lived experience with grief, completing EMDR, and overcoming mental health struggles. Additionally, I have deep empathy and care for others that allows me to create a safe place for all. I understand how tense the political climate is, and feeling safe with your therapist is extremely important. I am passionate about providing an inclusive environment for everyone! My approach is intersectional, meaning I understand how the intersection of many identities comes to play in our mental health and lived experiences.
