My Ideal Client

During the course of my career, I have been honored to be a part of the journeys of change for many individuals who, like you, took the first step toward entering therapy. My job is to meet you where you are, and to help you identify your current options while exploring the paths that lead you here. Areas of special interest include depression, anxiety, avoidance and procrastination, impulse control issues, substance use/abuse/dependence, life transitions, trauma, and interpersonal conflict.

My Approach to Helping

I strive to assist my clients with developing more resources, insight, and skills to move them toward a greater level of functioning and improvement in the quality of their lives. I use a DBT-informed, cognitive-behavioral approach in my counseling practice. Therapy is a unique experience for everyone, with change and growth being individually defined for each client. I feel fortunate to love my work. My personal approach consists of humor and irreverence, and I thoroughly enjoy the process of building rapport with my clients. I take pride in facilitating a place of safety and warmth for every client. My approach is highly collaborative, combining curiosity and empathy.
