My Ideal Client

Do you feel like you're living in a fog, disconnected from the world around you? Or maybe you feel constantly on edge, full of apprehension even when everything seems fine? These are common feelings for people who have experienced trauma. While my focus is trauma, I also love working with people exploring their sexuality, spirituality, ethical non-monogamy, psychedelic preparation and integration, and existential issues. I am sex, sex worker, kink, and LGBTQ+ positive and affirming.

My Approach to Helping

Change happens through our recognition of how we are restricted by certain beliefs or behaviors, and the encounter with this recognition allows us the opportunity to choose another path and try out other perspectives. As a therapist, my role is to help you see if the lens you view the world through is the one you want to be looking through. I bring somatic (body focused) practices, Internal Family Systems therapy, and interpersonal neurobiology together to reintegrate the body and mind and bring awareness to the ways in which your environment has shaped your nervous system. When appropriate, I offer Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy as an adjunct to our work. I practice from an Existential-Humanistic perspective, which means that I see our relationships as a partnership. As fellow humans, we will explore your beliefs about yourself and the world to see what serves you and what doesn’t. Together, we will work to discover the unique path to your wholeness and fulfillment.

More About the People I Treat

Many of my clients don't recognize themselves as having experienced trauma, they feel that word only applies to accidents or disasters. Neglect, emotional and verbal abuse, poverty, and bullying are just a few examples of experiences that can leave us with traumatic wounds. Some of my clients seek therapy knowing what they hope to heal from and others have a pervasive feeling of unease and guilt for not “having it more together”. No matter what end of the spectrum you are on, I will be there with you and hold a space where you can begin to untangle the knots that have bound you. I work with my clients to help them feel alive and vibrantly connected to life. I love working with people from all walks of life and have found I am a particularly good fit for those who have had a difficult time with therapy in the past, those healing from narcissistic/personality disordered abuse, and those who feel ready to lean into their healing.
