My Ideal Client

Perhaps you are preparing for or recovering from bariatric surgery, looking for support in behavioral changes that will optimize your use of weight-loss medication, or want expert help with patterns around emotional eating. Maybe you are a parent or a healthcare professional who could be described as "high performing" but you feel exhausted, burnt out and bitter. If your relationships feel exhausting, if caregiving feels impossible because you are too depleted, I can help!

How I Can Help You

My priority is to help you feel safe, seen, and understood. I enjoy supporting patients in building sustainable lifestyle changes that bring greater vitality and enjoyment to their lives. My therapeutic approach is deeply informed by my own experiences as a caregiver, spouse, parent, and psychologist. I understand how chronic stress can lead to deep burnout and health challenges, and I have learned to care for others in a way that leaves adequate time and energy to care for myself. I approach my work with compassion, curiosity, and a commitment to meaningful change. Together, we’ll clarify what matters most to you, recognize unhelpful patterns, and apply evidence-based tools to help you achieve the life you want, one that brings meaning, renewed energy, and true fulfillment.

My Approach to Helping

To support deeper healing and insight, I also draw on attachment theory and mindfulness-based practices. We’ll take time to slow down and notice patterns in your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. We’ll also take time to pause from analyzing and talking to re-connect you with what you are feeling and sensing in your body. Often, the therapy relationship itself becomes a safe space to gently explore how past experiences may still be influencing emotional and behavioral patterns in your present relationships. Above all, I view therapy as a collaborative process. I welcome feedback and believe that growth happens when we experiment, adjust, and discover what truly works for you. I will have weekly openings for both in person and virtual sessions starting the first week of October.
